Its a 1.4 16v gp 2008 model

Basically yesterday I started my car after work and I noticed when I indicated left a little yellow triangle came up on the dash with the message 'check LHS turning light' (something like that)

I then noticed that the left hand indicator was stuck on, on both the front and back of the car. They just stay on static but the indicators on the dash are not on.

It turns off when the engine is off but when I turn the ignition on and all the dash lights up for a few seconds the LHS indicator does aswell. It goes out with the dash board lights, but as soon as I turn the engine on it comes on and stays on (n)

When I try and indicate left the arrow on the dash flashes really fast and the yellow triangle comes up but no change in the light itself!

any help or ideas?

I have unclipped the battery this morning and will try it again at lunch or after work, does anyone think this may help?

 Any help is greatly appreciated!

My guess is it's a short circuit.

Does it indicate to the right ok?

Ive had a problem with the petrol guage aswell for a few months now, it shows full, then empty and switches between the 2 while im driving, going around corners/speed biumps etc

Just wondering if the 2 could be related?

does the mileage display flash too?

if it's a few electrical things that aren't working maybe it's your body computer?

do the indicator lights stay on once you've turned the car off and removed the key?

maybe it's something to do with the stalk then?

How old is it?

if it's an electrical component, not the wiring, you should still be covered under you third year warranty. That's how I got my heater motor fixed.. :D

Might be worth taking to your dealer to see what they have to say??

Ill go and try now, do I have to open the cluster as if i was changing the bulbs and disconnect from there?

cheers mate, any idea on the most probable cause? any tests i can do? also what would you say would be the next step to take!
