Technical Please help! grande punto left indicator stuck on

they click quickly, the left side all stays on static, and the right 3 lights all flash as normal

well the flashing is controlled by body computer and the column and hazard switches are connected directly to body computer aswell.

There are 3 outputs from body computer to the front, side and rear indicators so next step would be using examiner to actively test the indicators but this would be dealer only i'm afraid.

Thanks mate, is it true there is no relays or flashers in the GPs then as they all controlled by the body computer?

Any idea on how much that test should cost? im deciding whether to try that or change the stalk first

Also if I go to a dealer and tell them the problem will they know what to test etc, or do I have to ask them to do any specific tests/diagnosis?

Quick update,

I found out that if the cars ignition is on (engine off) and I tap the indicator left it clicks normally the first time then flashes quick like before, but the strange thing is that a strange noise happens just as it starts flashing weird. Its similar but quieter to the boot solenoid moving (hydrolic sort of noise) It only happens when I put the indicator on the left side (dodgy side) and it also does it with the hazard lights

You can hear the noise faintly inside the car but I think I have narrowed it down to the bottom right of a plastic tank (presume fuel tank) under the car just next to the back right wheel. I held my hand on the tank and you can slightly feel the noise coming from there

Is this normal? or the problem?

no I think its the underside of the actual fuel tank or a cover, its a large black plastic tub, and the noise seems to be coming from the corner near the rear wheel, only when activating the dodgey indicator, I assume a noise from there only when indicating 1 way is not normal?

not to sure its basically under the back seats. Do you know if any wires go to the indicators under the car there that may have shorted or something?
