When she first starts the car from cold and puts it into either first or reverse for the first time it always crunches, but is smooth as silk after that first gear. Is there any adjustment in the clutch cable that I can try to eliminate this?
Also, she recently reversed into a parking space and the exhaust tip knocked a brick sticking (low) out of the wall. Since then there is a throaty blowing sound at low revs, but I was under the car yesterday doing an oil/filter change and couldn't see any obvious damage.
It's in for an MOT on Monday and she's asked them to have a look at the exhaust system for any obvious issues so what do you reckon?
