Hi Guys
I am getting this really strong diesel smell in the cabin of my 06 GP1.9Mjet which gets worse when the car is on stop in traffic. Anyway I lifted the bonnet and took of the engine cover to see and nothing, until I looked with the engine running and saw that there was a caramel colored pipe that runs from the back left of the engine leaking diesel. It looks like it has rubbed on another pipe and worn a hole in the pipe.

Any ideas if this is a quick fix I can do myself as I havent got the time or money to take to the garage, especially having just spent nearly 500quid to get the alternator repalced. I love this car, but hate it at the same time!

Your help again would be great.

Also from what the technician said its not an easy job to do as they have to drop the front subframe to feed the pipe through from the fuel tank to the engine.
