I am after some rear hubcentric spacers for my GPS, it has standard 17" mjets alloys on however has been lowered on eibach sportlines and is running on 215 45 17 tyres, does anyone know how big of spacer i can go?

I know most people go for 20mm but couldnt find any threads with 215 45 17 tyres involved.............

i have abarth alloys which sit a tad further out coupled with the extra width tyres 215/45 and with 20mm spacers it rubs 2mm towards to edge

so if you can handle a wheel arch squeek once a day then 20mm look really good and at 20mm they bolt straight to the hub so easier to remove and refit the wheel. but if you dont want the occasional squeek then 15mm (y)

With 20mm theres a chance of scrubbing. Usually one side more than another on grandes. On 205/40/17, my passenger side rear scrubed now and then when the shock really compressed.

the abarth alloys appear to have a different offset imo thats why they sit further out,

i think with standard alloys 20mm will be fine because where it rubbed is so close to the edge off my tyres i think on standard its fine,

when i swapped them for tha abarths in the first place the two next to eachother standard was a far bit slimmer and shorter on the hub and not just saying that because im selling either :p

15mm will be fine no doubt youll need new longer bolts tis abit fiddly getting the wheel on but no rubbing

20mm will be okay most of the time apart from on big dips when the shock fully compresses as most other members say in their experience

wouldnt go for more than that the rubing would be bad and the extra pressure it would cause problems

id be interested to see what the limit is on the front

I've got 20mm on the rear, had rubbing quite bad with 45 profile, swapped to 40 and it hasn't rubbed at all even with a load in the rear!

Problem with 15mm spacers is they need longer bolts which some say are dangerous, the 20mm fit to the hub with it's own bolts the you use the original bolts to fit the wheel to the spacer
