Posts: 15 Thanks: 1 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Couple of easy questions for the techy guys Hi all, 1.4 16 starjet working fine at moment. A couple of questions tho: 1/. the temperature ( outside) gague is acting up a little - like when its hot outside im gettin a temporary reading of -18 and ice on road...lol, it does settle eventually. So im thinking the sensor might be dirty? Where is the outside temperature sensor? 2. I have just bought the correct ngk spark plugs to replace current ones. Do you know what space the plug should be set to? I cant find the plug 'gap' dimensions anywhere in the manual. Also are the plugs an easy change? It looks like I will have to remove coil packs first? ( i havent had chance to look properly yet) Many thanks guys

Lift the air filter box up and disconnect the short vacuum pipe underneath. You can move the box to one side,no need to completely remove. Now the fun begins! You will need a 10mm spark plug wrench that has a rubber grip thing inside and very small hands. Remove one plug lead and change that plug to avoid mixing the leads up. The two middle ones are very difficult ,but just about possible. I had to remove the handle from my plug socket and used it to start threading the plugs by hand, then re-attaching the handle for tightening them up. Before you replace the air box, remember to re-connect the short vacuum pipe- it`s easy to forget.
