I'm picking up my 06 Grande Punto very soon and I have a few questions.

This is my first car and I was wondering if anybody could help.

1) There's a very minor scratch on the front and I was wondering what would be the best way to minimise it.

2) There's some scuffing to the plastic interior of the drivers side door. Any tips about clearing this up? I think it's probably permanent and just a sign of wear.

3) I don't think this one had the MP3 logo so I'm interested in the iPod connector that Fiat sell. Is it compatible with this early model?

4) Any general tips?

Welcome to the forum,

All I could suggest for the scratch would be polish but have a look at the car care section as we have some very keen detailers.

I am not sure if there is really anything you can do to get rid of a plastic scuff but there are certain vinyl care products on sale.

Since it's an 06 model I assume you don't have blue and me. (The give away is a windows button on the steering wheel controls) So I wouldn't worry about the Fiat accessories, since you can buy this lead, it plugs into the back of the headunit. It will give you an AUX input for any MP3 or ipod.

Also get some pictures up! (y)

Hey, you have to be careful with aux cables because the Blaupunkt cable that clair80 and typhoon2 have suggested ONLY work with the Blaupunkt head units, there are also Grundig head units out there, and Grundig is whats in my punto. Ive learnt the hard way with the aux by buying the cable that the users i mentioned previously suggested for you to buy, it didnt fit because i had a Grundig.
The way to check what radio you have is, (if it dosent say on the head unit itself). Pull out the head unit and look on its side, it might say, (along with a bunch of other codes), Grundig or Blaupunkt. Also look for a code on the same sticker, F 199. If thats on there then i suggest you buy this cable: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IPOD-MP3-Aux-...Cabling_ET&hash=item5192a0c459#ht_1223wt_1167

Ive bought this for my GP and it works awesome! Had it for a while now, easy to fit and no hastle, crystal clear audio (y)
Good luck! :D
