Hi all,

I'm looking for a cheap(ish) way to tint my headlights. I can't afford Abarth's, and I'm aware that I could use Lamin-x and Fly-eyes.

I'm just wondering if there are any other ways to tint them (legally) and which (in your opinions) are the best methods.

Well ive ordered the darkest smoke fly eye kit for my car I thing you should get the same james1989 has done his front lights with it.

I lie it wasnt james1989 it was someone else i cant remember now

yeah robsport's done the front and rear ive only done the rear,high level brake and side repeaters the front fly eyes sheets on the way

very easy to use the fly eyes!

We are gunna be the fly eye crew lol wonder if it gunna look good on my orange gp.

i wouldve thought it would and even if it doesnt just peel it off

Yeah its good coz its cheap as chips

Fly eyes looks rubbish and cheap up close!

I brough some tint spray from the fast show that's suposedly legal on head lights and won't fail on mot! Was gonna do it before I got s2 lights!

I think the darkest one is way too dark, it looks like tinting spray! i prefer this one:

its the lighter of the two black ones.

We will see i dont find that one dark enough for me really.

i think the fly eyes looks nice its different not cheap just different

and the light of the two i wouldnt bother with i have the darker of the two on the rear and if it was upto me id go one shade darker than that!

Oh yeah i'm not knocking how it looks on yours, jet black lights on your jet black car looks cool. on a light car like mine the dark would look like i sprayed em because of the contrast, i think a tint would be enough for mine.

yeah I prefer that too, I think the darker looks too 'matt' looking, whereas the lighter still leaves some reflection.

Is there any way to split open the headlight, or not possible because of sealing it back up again?

Like one person has done it apprently its hard to seal up afterwards.

rob hasnt got abarth headlights, if you check out his members thread the headlights are fly eyes only!

hes done a good job and good choice of tint imo they look so good i copied haha

One answer to this, if you dont mind investing £15 in the fly eyes, try if not to taste throw away , there will always be differences in how people feel about certain things, what makes us unique.
