I'm looking at this as a potential buy. Has some good extras, including leather seats, electric sunroof (dealer said 2??), but not sure about that rear wing. Should I buy it, or avoid? If the former, should I consider replacing that F1-stylee rear wing? £6.5k, and 34,000 miles.

1.9 Sporting

Would removing the wing be relatively easy? Damage to car?

OMG :eek:,WTF is the green stipe and the ironing board for??,and in answer to T's question its a 1.9 Sporting, please, please, please leave well alone.:(

That car looks awful... the green strip, spoiler and chrome around the brake lights are just disgusting... completely ruined the car.

If I was you, I would completely avoid it. There's better cars out there, and you wont have to deal with the hassle of removing the spoiler etc

Is there a big enough bargepole on earth for this one? Sorry mate, I don't think I'd be going anywhere near it, if I were you.

Thanks for the opinions. The stripe I could live with, but that wing put me off. Shame, as the leather interior and sunroofs would be nice extras. Will keep looking around.

How easy would it be to remove the stripe and the wing? Can't imagine the latter actually lends any kind of positive aerodynamic effect, irrespective of it's looks!

I'd be more concerned about the fact that the previous keeper adorned his car with such dodgy racing paraphernalia, then start wondering what else have they done to it that you can't see. Also, if they want a car that appears to be a racer - have they spent their whole time driving it like a tit...

Yes, a sunroof and leather are nice extras, but others with these options are around as well...

Id disagree with that, I agree with you that the add ons look an abortion but they also show that the owner "may" have looked after it, Id rather have a car thats been driven enthusiasticaly every so often and been looked after than a car thats been tootled round but never had its oil checked,

Id go and take a look at it but be blunt and tell the dealer you are not having it untill the stripe and spoiler are off, and see what sort of deal he comes up with, he will probably keen to see the dosh comming in during hard times, and Id say an orange car would be quite hard to shift at the best of times
