Id disagree with that, I agree with you that the add ons look an abortion but they also show that the owner "may" have looked after it, Id rather have a car thats been driven enthusiasticaly every so often and been looked after than a car thats been tootled round but never had its oil checked,

Id go and take a look at it but be blunt and tell the dealer you are not having it untill the stripe and spoiler are off, and see what sort of deal he comes up with, he will probably keen to see the dosh comming in during hard times, and Id say an orange car would be quite hard to shift at the best of times

To some degree, I would go along with what you say, but only if they were quality modifications. A green stripe, tacky spoiler for the top of a spoiler and silver beading around the rear headlights just look like something that's been done on the cheap in my opinion. Just doesn't give the feel of someone that's looked after their car, or cared too much about what they do to it...

Then as has been correctly pointed out - it's up to the buyer what they choose to do. If they like the car, want the car and indeed get the car - then good on them :)
