Angry T-jet owners

Can anyone with a new t-jet check and tell me if it has an engine undertray?? (big plastic under the car below the engine)...

ive got a gsr kit and ive realised i have no undertay on my 58 plate t-jet...and thats not good for when it rains or puddles...i just called fiat desera and the guy said my model does'nt show as having an undertray, when he check on the "system", but i could swear i had one when i got the car.

Re: T-jet owners

I dont have a T-Jet but I'd bet 99.9% that there should be an undertray fitted.

Re: T-jet owners

I guess it would have. You should be able to see if there are any holes for the screws. May be some screrws there or broken holes if the tray has been ripped of while driving.

Has the car been serviced? Maybe it hasnt been put on after that?

Why isn't it good? I have no undertray and have done nearly 2years and 35,000+ miles fine. Mine sits lower than it does on a T-jet too.

Re: T-jet owners

I must admit I did a service on a friends Ford Mondy and the bloody thing just didn't want to go back on!. Ended up getting a couple of the bolts back in and using cable ties on the rest .

Re: T-jet owners

Had the car serviced last week and they said the undertray was damaged and loose and that they had fixed it as good as they could

Was probably that dip in the road I hit at 60mph

Re: T-jet owners

Mine has an undertray. Like has been said, I would imagine all new cars from the past few years have them so you should take a closer look as to why yours is missing.

Don't worry about rain ingress - cars have been built without for years - the trays serve primarily for fuel economy.

Re: T-jet owners

well im positive it had one, i had a look and the plastics underneth seem incomplete....there 2 peices that conect to the wheel arch, and have 2 hole for screws either side....

it also came to me that when i first got the car about 8 months ago, i had a problem with my passenger side drive shaft/cv joint, (i remember matt replying to my posts) that was the only time the car went to fiat and it had the undertray there. and now i believe it was off since then...called fiat today but they said it was too long ago now....
