Just found these two companies who claim to be able to remap the 1.4 16v engine. Has someone finally cracked the codes or do you think its bs?

As far as I am aware the 1.4 16valve non T-Jet is still resisting proper re-map power tuning, try checking some Posts / Threads by Oldschool.

This applies only to some of the early T-Jet ECUs. But even for them we found a way round. We just clone the ECU with the software from the new ECUs.

@ puntoracer37 - The 1.4 16 in the GP can't be mapped. The 500 ECU is a different ECU. It is not a matter of the engine rather than an ECU problem.
