So much for driving to santa pod this weekend lol

yesterday took the car in the garage because the fan was making a lot of nose, i also said to them if they could check the turbo because its betting surging oil to much.

Went to the garage to day to be show that the manifold has two big splits in it,
and that the manifold on the mjet is moulded to the turbo as one peace not two peaces bolted on to each other. so looks like i need a whole new turbo and manifold unit. :bang: thats gonna be at least what £1000 + easy.

any help, ideas or opinions would be grateful. (y)

No suggestions, sorry. Just feel for ya - that really is the nightmare motoring scenario :(

if you do need all that go for the proxide kit which is about £1200 for a uprated turbo and manifold.

http://www.protoxide.it/preparazioni/grandepunto19mjet.htm

would be able to reliably break that 200hp barrier, they also do uprated clutches.

no disrespect to OP (or reddot) , but how many turbos/cars have blown running so high power? I had mine mapped by Angel at 4,000 miles, and they said it "would" map to 190 but it would likley break... I said I want reliability as I'd be keeping the car, mine "only" RR'd at 158bhp and 314 lbs/ft, (and its a nice flat line above 150bhp all the way between 2.5k and 4.5 k...) but I'm now at 3 years and 94,000 miles, and everything still runs like new, clutch/turbo/engine ect..... just flew through its first MOT too....

maybe 190bhp on standard turbo is too much? maybe the turbo from the 150bhp bravo running 200 bhp would be better? see how much that would cost you as a more reliable upgrade......

Ffoxy and myself have been running high end power too for a large amount of mileage (27,000 miles for me) and had no problems.

According to Eper, there was an updated manifold fitted to the turbo in March 2006. It doesn't say what was updated though. Maybe you could talk to a turbo dealer? If theres nothing actually wrong with the turbo, they may be able to supply the turbine cover with the manifold on, then its just a case of replacing the part thats damaged.

Sounds good, what did all that cost?

Just noticed this on the Italian website...Must b lost in translation!

" Unfortunately, it is known that the original cast iron manifolds (in fusion with the snail turbo) will not last long ... "

Cast iron inlet manifold....LMAO... :D

Cost a bit more than £1200 mate, but i just brought the kit.

uprated turbo
uprated manifold
uprated down pipe

cant wait to find out what that produces, do post up and let us know.... I only expect a turbo to last 100k, so I may invest before mine dies if you get good results :D
