I joined up yesterday so bare with me - my newbie thread is title Greetings from newly converted Fiat driver (I can't post a link, not enough replies!

Anyway, just after some 'reviews' of the GP. Before I bought it I was looking at the usual Corsa C's and Fiesta's (after owning a Corsa B for 3 years and it being faultless). I however read every review going on the net from mainstream websites (Parkers, Autocar etc) and was impressed - mainly that Fiat seemed to have sorted their reliability issues.

However being a forum, and I know this is where people come to ask problems so is only a minority in the grand scheme of things, I can see quite a few problems with the car.

My first personal gripe is the drivers seat feels loose - not sure if this is a recall issue?

And secondly, when sitting on the motorway at 70mph, it feels ever so slightly that it's increasing and decreasing in speed - not sure if this is a difference between the fly by wire compared to cable on the Corsa - anyone else have problems such as this? May be the lambda sensor? (car has done 32k).

Overall, I'm really impressed with the car - but I just want to know of good reports to put my worrying mind at rest! (y)

now you say about the slowing down and quickening on motorways, i think mine does that. its done it a few times, quite often to be honest, but i presumed that it was my foot just moving. im pleased youv bought that up actually (y) lol.

Hmmm, it's only slightly. The rev needle barely moves so I don't think it's much really.

Someone over on Corsasport is a Fiat parts man. He asked their servicing department and they said it could be a fault lambda sensor - I'm hoping the engine management light comes on before my 3 months warranty is up :D

yeah, mine doesn't move really at all, you just feel it more from the car itself. if u think thats it, even if the light doesn't come on, just take it back before 3 months, and play up the problem to them, say its quite bad on motorways, could save u some money if u get it done under warranty (y)

Well I'm not sure what recalls may or may not be remaining so I'm going to take it to the local Fiat garage I think and get it done, plus may be get a courtesy car so it doesn't mess up work.
