Absolutely love it, white with stripes and front and rear linea splitter.
Haven't got round to taking any pictures yet.. will soon.

First impressions:
  • Feels much sturdier and better built than the 1.4 starjet.
  • MPG is insane.
  • Goes like stink, do they feel quick as standard because I have a feeling it might be mapped?
  • Makes me smile loooooads, whereas the starjet used to struggle to overtake or climb hills etc.
Only bad bit is it sounds like a Massey Ferguson (trackktorr) at idle. But I can live with that ;)

Lol Welcome to the Oil Burners Club!

They feel quite quick as standard but re-mapped its VERY obvious!

Economy is Ace innit! And just as pretty as any GP... Yea the 1.9 MJet really does have it all... (y) Except the handling on twisties but we can make up for that on the straights! (y)

Hmm, need to find someone else with one that I know ISN'T remapped. If it isn't I might not get it done because its fast enough as it is lol :slayer:

And with regards to pics I will try and get some after I have had a chance to clean it. Covered in crap from the long journey home and it's always dark when I finish work

Another M-Jet . Wanting to get mine Re-mapped.. Ffoxy did you go to Reddot? Am wanting mine to be simular to yours

Yup Red Dot did mine 30,000 miles ago DJSparky.

Final figs depend on what the engine does as standard & how high a level you wish to go for.

:yeahthat: They seemed to have knocked it back a little bit as some people (who were not sympathetic with the car) managed to damage turbos. Remember though, you will get the extra power but you must make sure the car is maintained properly.

The car is soon to turn 2, but has only 14000 miles. However had NO service. Where do I stand with warranty and would getting a service before 18k be worthwhile? I've changed oil and filter already.

Oh it is very noticeable well worth it.

I will update you fellow oil burners next week when I have my LSD fitted, see if helps cure all that diesel power and torque.

Feel like a big kid again not a 47 yr old!!!

Strictly speaking, the warrenty is void. However, if something goes wrong, you might find the dealer is sympathetic due to the little mileage. Id get it serviced straight away if I was you.

DEFINITELY before a Re-map at Red Dot... those rollers take no prisoners!

Spoke to FIAT, if I get a low milage one done and second service when due - should be "okay" :) Don't think i'l be getting it remapped for this reason lol

Got cover with warrantydirect anyhow.

I want to get mine re-mapped but do the pro's outweigh the cons?

Mine isnt remapped because I'm only 18 and pay enough to insure the bugger anyway:p But my dads remaped afew of his beamers. With diesels you get good gains for £250 but if it isnt serviced and maintained well can cuase problems and can wreck the clucth quicker than normal (dads normally started to sli ) . You also hear some stories about turbos going bang etc but should be ok as most peoiple have had them remaped for thousandds of miles and also dont drive it likes its stolen all the time and it should be ok :) That was my dads down fall :bang:. Anyone feel free to correct me in anyway just past experience from my dads cars :)

Hmm, Im 18 aswell. What you paying on Insurance?
Has anyone declared the Re-mapping's? I really want it done but with ALL of the problems Ive had with my car at the moment with 14,000 on the clock ( Owned for 8 days! ) , If something were to go wrong and had to go back to fiat or wherever would they be arses about it? And my warranty companys for that matter? :S

I would decalre it, but up to you. Better be safe than sorry. Some people say there invisible but im unsure on that FFfoxy might be able to tell you more about it and I think its down to teh dealer as to if they are arsed or not. Wil probably void warranty aswell.
