Hey people,

I have grande punto 1.4 8v 59 plate, 2,500 miles on clock. Started to notice chalky sound coming from brakes recently when braking at low speed. Not overly concerned just not sure if it is something that could lead to something more serious.

Any ideas on what it may be or if anythig needs looking at would be appreciated.

Cheers

a chalky sound ?

not sure what chalk sounds like lol why dont you try getting brake cleaner and cleaning the contact side of the brake pads (both sides) and clean the disc itself the spray cleaner is only about £3 and just a clean rag to wipe it over, umm copper grease the caliper sides of the pads and the hub, if you have level ground you can take of the handbrake do the back brakes too.

someone else may give you more information but the gp brakes are famous singers :)
