Heyy, i was just wondering if the t-jet boost sensors sre the same as abarth boost sensors? thanks ben

no im fairly sure they are different,

using the search ive tried to find the thread that included a sensor discussion but i cant find it (n)

but i do remember one sensor was £30-40 and the other was around £80 i think, they do hold a higher boost pressure i believe so depending on how far you want to go theyre a good investment if you already have the abarth 150 ihi turbo.

Yea i do have a abarth turbo on my t-jet at the moment and im only running 172bhp with the standard sensors, and hopefully with the sensors i will manage 190bhp that the abarth 155bhp's manage. I thought there was 3 boost sensors? Im not sure and also do you know what the boost leves go up to 1.3Bar, 1.4Bar? thanks ben

im so sure about the raising of boost thats more the actuators job id say,

but the sensors would allow the boost to be held for longer so the power delivery would be better and the ecu wouldntgo into the limp mode situation if your car suffers from that at all.

Yeah the actuator does that but if its above what the standard sensors are meant to take then they are going to spaz out as they think something is broken giving out more boost than they should.

i can understand what you are saying matt, but mine is an early t-jet, mabey have the lower boost sensors than the newer t-jet? im not sure but im pritty sure that i would get more power out of my little beast when im back on the road soon :)

The 155 Abarth has the same sensors as the 120 Tjet..
However an essesse Abarth has replacement sensors.. The manifold sensor is infact common on diesels 1.3 500 ;) but the sensor in the intercooler > Throttle housing is only used on Alfa's with the tbi engine iirc.. its the cheaper of the too though ;)

So why are the t-jets soo under powered when compared to the abarth? a standed Abarth could reach like 185bhp with just a map, mine however has got adjustable actuator, FMIC, GSR, Full 63mm SS Exhaust with SS 60mm Decat Dowpipe, ad is running 172bhp, why is this i assume that the sensors are bringing the boost down because it wont go past 1bar of boost? and abarth run 1.4bar
thaks ben

The Abarth GP uses different cams.. the rest of the engine is identical bar the turbo and possibly injectors

Yeah,only cams are different.

Don't know what's wrong with ben's tjet..

Here in Greece there are many tjets with vl36 running @1.5bar overboost with the original actuator.

Ben have you checked the actuator's spring??
If it's too light, then the car can't hold boost.

at the moment im using the normal spring (couple of psi over standard) and if i put the yellow one in it wont go over 1bar it brings it back down straight away :( thats why i want some higher boost level sensors :) and do you know what Bar they are? 1.4bar am i correct? and is there any one out there know if the injectors are different because they is a good upgrade if they are slightly bigger than the t-jet 120 ones
thanks

and the actuator is wound at max boost (12psi) which is quite pants i think, with the normal spring there seems to be more torque with this one :) and reaperX do you have any graphs you can show me and what sort of power are you running at 1.5bar and with what mods??

that is really good :) and how much torque did it produce? thats the only thing that mine was good at lol

I have a vl36 fitted to mine now.. desperately need a remap to get more of its potential.. not sure what bhp im at now but it rr'd at 137.9Bhp & 158.9lbft with just a panel filter on the standard turbo

286Nm,but temp is too high...Almost 33C env. temperature.

Generally torque varies from 285 to 300Nm with stock actuator..

that seems really impressive :) what is that in FT? and i should have more than that with the upgrade actuator, as it hold boost for longer.
