My 1.9 JTD Sporting (2006) simply loves front tyres! Original set (Potenza)was replaced at 14k, replacement Potenzas were shot after 9k, Pirelli P Zero Nero lasted 17k with tyre rotation at 12k, Falkens are nearing their end of useful life after 11k... Mind you, it is always the inner part of the tyre that is badly worn. Suffice to say, alignment is always spot on.

I do a lot of m'way driving and I seldom accelerate (or decelerate) hard. Does anyone know if a suspension modification (reduction of toe-in maybe or upgraded springs or anything else for that matter!) can be done relatively inexpensively? Has anybody done so on a JTD Sporting?

Mine are the same, but mine wear badly on the outside first. My first set of bridgestones lasted 13k, replaced them with the same and they look a bit shot 10 000 miles later.

you must like buying tyres you lot. me thinks driving style contributes to tyre wear more anything.
if you got deep pockets fair play. i have to drive like a pensioner cas i cant afford to relace em every year.
im thinking of getting myself a halfords check blanket for the parcel shelf soon.
32 psi all round and a full geometry check will sort it out. i did 8k on my standard potenzas before changing alloys and there was no sign of wear at all on them imo. how the hell can you burn a set of fronts up in only 8k lol. i must be getting old:rolleyes:

im on non directional value tyres now, £50 a corner and they are made from granite. a wee bit slippery when wet under pressure might i add.....
i thing they are kenda or something not well known .....

Standart 17", 30psi, but im gonna pump them up a bit after reading about uneven wear.

if im being honest, the toyo will only let go in the wet if you are pushing slightly too hard, but still, much better than the potenza.

do my pressure 2.4 and 2.2 bar. I dont drive particularly hard at all i dont think. The turranza are a very soft tyre though. I cant complain about the grip they, even in the wet its difficult to wheel spin it (1.9 m-JET)
