Technical Coolant change

You'll need heater set to hot before you do any draining.

Usually 2 bleed screws, one on the top left of the rad, as you look at the car, and one just before or after the heater marix, likely to be after i think.

The few times i've drained cooling systems, i've generally found that the quoted amount that the system takes never comes out.

Another good idea is to use radflush type products about a week before you do the change, make sure the car gets fully up to temp at times to alow the mixture to flow through the whole system

Its on a GP though Craig and not a Classic Panda

american spelling?...or was mine american spelling:confused:

No no, the correct term to describe a susbstance that attracts and retains moisture is `Hygroscopic`...but everyone uses the word (unless you a Class A, time served Engineering pedant like me ) `Hydroscopic`. I guess its due the similar pronunciations.

Its a long long story but many years ago when I was a recent graduate someone very high up at Rolls-Royce (not the cars) enjoyed every moment of making me look a right d**k because I got the terms mixed up in a rather important report......cue much and lengthy pi**taking from my then workmates. Upshot was the word became etched on my mind
