hey
got hold of some VXR wing mirrors on the cheap. Now....how do i get them fitted :S as i dont really have a clue. is there some specialist i can take them to?

i would assume a bodyshop would fit them.

why dont you take the GP mirrors off if you get a chance and match the VXR ones up, see if there is much of a difference in the fittments to the car.

Door card off unbolt wing mirror and bolt on new one.

But got to take into consideration how the factory wing mirrors disconnect and if your new ones are electric or not.

you brought parts that you cant fit & dont know if they actually do fit:confused:

:yeahthat:

I even said in the other thread its not a straight swap ffs.

Only if you want to be super cool with heated wing mirrors

nah i got em from a salvage yard round here, was only 45quid so i thought its worth a punt. they are black so wont need a respray.

worth a go, cupra splitter was a bodge to start with ended up setting a trend on here.

i say go for it, but, make sure you dont do anything irriversible until you have them working and know they'd fit. gotta post pics too so everyone can see.

think the fitment would be the tricky bit wiring isnt too bad once you know what ur looking at.

Bolt holes are direct fit! The wiring is the headache

hi guys, just an update, finally got some spare time from college and took my car n the mirrors to a local body shop. they said they can get them fitted no problem, but as already mentioned its the electrics that are the problem. Going to take it around again next weekend and see if we can tinker around with the circuitry
