I bought a bottle of oil from the local FIAT dealer to top up the car.

He gave me a bottle of Selenia Performer 5W 30, A1/A5/FIAT M1 rated.

When I asked if this was ok as the handbook says A3 and FIAT M2 rated, he said it would be fine.

Does this mean at service time I can use Selenia Performer, or should I go back to an A3/M2 rated oil??

Any Techs know if they changed the spec?

So can he ensure it in writting? i guess not. Stick to the manual ratings.

To my opinion, no it is not harmfull, but it is just ok. It is referred for very cold climates.
Selenia K pure energy (A3/C3) is much better unless you need to stick to 5w/30
