General Apex RDX Coilovers

Cant find many reviews about these, think they are quite new.
FK & Weitec are meant to be good. Although i have read some bad reviews recently about the FK's springs corroding and shocks exploding in about a year. Also clio cup drivers are raving about Vmaxx coilovers atm. All of which are about £500-£600.

6 monthly probably. Before winter clean them up and seal them with jetseal or something then at the end of winter clean them again to get all the road salt off them.

The reviews i read must have had set of dodgy fk's, as some of the guys were sealing and greasing nearly every month and still corroding.

If they are getting highsports then they do corrode faster as they are just zinc plated steel where as the silverline is stainless steel which is zinc plated and so they are alot more resistant to it.

I know 10+ people that have run with various FK kits and not had a serious problem with corroding.

Doesnt really Prove anything tbh. You dont know how he drove on them, ie if he was hammering it over speed bumps, through potholes etc while they were all the way down as that would cause them to go quickly.

People i know on them have been using them for a good few years with no problems.

I know yeah i did look at the FK highsports too, as i am after a set of coilovers but dont really wanna spend over 500 but i understand that limits my options by a lot. But while i was looking just discovered the Apex ones and was curious.

I dont know much about coilovers, so i not to sure what makes a good or bad set of coilovers. all i know is i dont want any that give a really hard ride compared to other coilovers.

Dunno ive not been in a GP with them fitted. They will all vary in ride quality but they will all be a hard ride. You cant expect to go low and retain comfort as the damper is having a massively reduced area to work in.

i had fk sliverlines on my corsa for ages and they never got cleaned and they didnt corrode i know the lad who got them now and they still going strong id say fks are easily the best budget coilover unless you get highsports
