what can i check or watch over the next week to make sure theres no damage? apart from obviously inspecting the kit itself

There isnt any otherwise it would of stopped running already.

if water had been sucked in engine would have locked up.
id be more worried about the cat, rapid cooling of a cat by flood water can kill them

if it starts tommorrow chances are it wasnt affected?

You drove it home its fine. Cat is alot higher up than the filter so will be fine.

I dont really think about it really as GSR sits to the middle of the road and puddles that are deep enough to effect it are usually on the outside of the road.

yeah usually they are at the side but this was country lane road width right in a nice hidden dip!

its your own fault really you should not be driving threw that much water! Road condition isn't always the reason of standing water. Alot of rain in a very short space of time will cause the same problem if drains can't cope

Never! Wow, your full of great advice, that i would never have thought of.

As I already mentioned, I never seen the flood until it was too late.

Anyway, all sorted now.
