I'm just wondering what are the limits of a punto?

POST your BHP below along with what you have had done to get that power?!? :slayer:

I'm looking for ways to up my BHP and torque :devil:

not to sure about the fiat puntos but from the abarthforum.co.uk I know of two people taking their cars up to 295bhp!!! from a standard 155bhp abarth it costs roughly £7000 from G-Tech in Germany but a little closer to home Sanspeed do a similar package quoted me £4000 to get my Abarth up to 250bhp.
 
But with all that power can the traction control deal with it? and what do they do to the cars?

how much power has punto matt got?
 
Ive never driven one with all that power TBH but from what they say in a straight line they are awesome but comming out of a corner can be a bit tricky untill you get used to it.
 
The GP/GPS will handle up to 200ish with the right mods quite easily :) The Abarth will obviously handle more and for 7k I agree with Craig i'd expect them to do some chassis work too!

The Tjet can get to about 160/170bhp with induction/remap/exhaust and the Mjet will get to near 200bhp off just a remap and maybe an induction kit!

The 295bhp version from G-Tech isn't a 1.4 and the work on the chassis is not included in the 7k.

well thats waffe. the grande punto s2000 is powered by an alfa romeo 2.0 twin spark from the alfa 156 cammed and mapped to 300hp

The S2000 engine has got a power output of 280bhp and is a bit more than an Alfa 145 engine with cams and a map.
 
Gtech's most powerful kit gives 265hp/348Nm suits all tjet engines (abarth,bravo,500,gp,mito) and costs 5800€+900€ for installation and rr.
 
I have 186 and 316ft/lbs wouldnt mind 200 after christmas though :slayer:

I imaging with 250 - 300 though you would have to start looking at the chassis, mine wheel spins too much as it is now, in the wet, I have cheap **** tyres on the front though, they will be off soon

didnt say he doesn't know more. just asked would he tell me more and mentioned what id read.

And you think the S2000 Rally car's chassis is just a standard GP underneath? Think again :ROFLMAO:.

Heavily modified, extra stiffness etc etc.

i didnt say t was a standard chassis. nor did i say its strengthened for a simple reason, i dont know. but as you said you can presume its strengthened and stiffened and so on and so forth.
 
Wheel spin in 4th FTW!!! (Seems to have been a one off and not sure why i was in 4th at the time) 186Bhp 315.5fl-lb Torque!

Other than that one incident the car seems to handle the new power fine! (For now)
