I have soon a few different threads about this kinda same issue but nothing like this.
When i drive the car over 10mph the front wheels constatly making a squeeing noise, but when i push on the brakes the noise stops !

can anyone tell me whats rong here ?

i took it to a local garage then cleaned the discs up for me for free the noise stoped for about 3 days now has come back agen, very annoying someone please help (n)

hmmm, well someone that knows more about cars than me will come along and put you right, but i think that if when cleaned well, and jet washed it stops for 'X' amount of time then it would be the only logical answer, maybe an excess of brake dust is getting in there some how. but i could and probably will be wrong!

No worries fella, atleast i can say i tried haha! hope you get it sorted, as i imagine that its driving you crazy.

Pads.

Right , Grande punto's are apparently quite well know for squeaky brakes! I had EXTREMELY Load brakes for a good 2 months. Bought New Pads... £88 Pounds later! Still squeaked so I bought new discs.. £90 later... Still squeaked! I got all this fitted at a garage and went back and complained that they were still making an extremely loud racket! They said the only way to cure this ( They think ) is to fit original parts.

One day later, £250 later, I ahd new brakes fitted, only to the front! And they had stopped squeaking!

but now they squeak again, but only when I brake for the first couple of times then they are fine. but make sure, if you do get new ones fitted, Be carefull on them for the first 500 miles or so because if they heat up to much they will arc and you will have the same problem.

Dont be a schumacher! : P Or however you spell it : )

Sorry for the essay!

Right thanks very much for the info to start
yer i can guess grandes have this problem with everyone saying it, but everyone has this problem when braking, my squeel stops when i brake, this what i didnt understand.

but now you made me think twice about buying new pads and disc if it dont resolve my problem lol

Well It might do. What the Main problem was that caused all of this was that my brake disc had worn down and not the outer edge rim so my brake pads were resting on the outer part of my disc therefore scoring my pads. So when you brake, the pads press down enough to touch the disc. Understand where im coming from??

or you brake very hard a lot of the time and you have warped them therefore instead of being straight, They have a slight curve to them meaning that they squeak all the time.

Get rid of the led boots mr!

I really dont know whats rong with them mate, i mean i dont brake hard very often, only if i have ever needed to if you know what i mean. what do you think is the best tihng for me to do ?

"Get rid of the led boots mr!" sorry what do you mean by this ?

well it can only be one of those two problems really. I personally think you should get them changed, But you should do them all at the same time, So pads and discs, And take it easy ( VERY EASY!) for the first few hundred miles and see how it goes. at the end of the day, if it dosnt work, go back and complain to the people that fitted them : ) And they have to sort it out but what I Had done to mine was last resort so god knows what happens if mine start properly squeaking again!

You paid £88 for pads? Seriously? Ive just got new front pads for £20 lol OEM or not it doesnt make any difference to the squeeking. My originals squeeled and my EBC pads squeal aswell.

I had this and the local dealer placed shims on the front brake set up, no more probs.
