hey guys..

this is my second thread about my new GP 07 1.4 8v..
planning to change the oil and the filter..my car is now on 31k kilom..and because i bought mine as a used one..actually i don't know when the oil has been changed with the previous owner..
actually there's no close dealer and i'm planning to change it by myself...
do i have to go to the dealer for some ECU reset or stuff like that...
and plzz suggest a new oil type...shell or mobil 1..
thnx grandies...

The 1.4 8v is virtually identical to the 1.2 8v so this guide should help you: https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto-guides/210683-oil-change-1-2-8v.html

Use whatever oil you like as long as it meets the specs required (in the handbook).

That's Fiats own oil but you don't have to use it. You will need about 4 litres to do an oil change. (Well 3 and a bit).

You don't have to go to a dealer. The ecu won't say the oil has been changed but you should be fine as long as you can prove it was done.
