wear thick long sleeved sweatshirt, Italians dont know what a de-burring tool is:mad:

why didn't you tell me before :bang:

im lucky i invested in a camera on a fly lead

if you pop the side trim off ((look in the GP guides section for cabin filter replacement)

now you can get in

have all your bulbs gone or just one ((IIRC there are 2 in total))

if its only one turn the sidelights on you should see a bright and a dim glow up the back...

the dim glow is the back of the blown bulb holder

pull it out

remove and replace bulb.

then push back in....

(sounds easy took me about 30 mins of swearing to get it in :bang: )

the bulb you want looks like this (the one on the left is what you want the right one is a 501 sidelight bulb to give some scale)

i have just done it i removed the cd player and cage and reached around and i found out they were on the end of the yellow and purple cables just pulled them then replaced tested before putting them back to ensure they worked

both had gone should have replaced it when only one had gone would have been alot easier to find where they went

FYI - they are 286 bulbs from halfords. 12v, 1.2W

Thanks for the info regarding the bulbs, I will have to get some of these next time I pop into Halfords.

James.

Yeah unfortunately we haven't got many independent places round here :( Thanks for the advice though!

I've managed to replace the bulb that had blown but now I've tried them again and the one that was working is now blown lol, has anyone else experienced this problem?

Cheers,
James.

usually when one bulb blows the other isn't far behind (in terms of life)

I guess I must have been unlucky then. At least I know where they are located now and how to replace them lol!

The positive is that I've managed to install a cable to connect my iPod up now :)
