need to order some aswell will give hid direct a call see how much they quote me, and was reading about how to install Fog Lights looks tricky how long did it take you?

Hid-Directs quoted me £70 for 6000k version thats with 2 years warranty sounds good. just double checking its the H4 bulb fitment?

Don't be a tit!

he isnt, its is true that the more power you are using has to come from some where, but as 50w is still less that a standard bulb uses then its nothing to worry about, 50w is only a couple of quid more than 35w so may as well go for it.
hids biggest current draw is when switched on anyway they dont draw so much once they are on

are HID's illegal ? if so are they easily noticeable but the police

Yes they are illegal as the type of light on the GP is a reflector insead of a projector, they are not self leveling and dont have washer jets for the lights. If you fit them correctly and have the beam pattern set up correctly you should be ok.

HID's are noticable on the roads, i notice them and think they look good, but the police will most probably notice the HID's, and depending on there mood may pull you.

really confused now rang HID directs to confirm if it was H4 and they said grande puntos are H7 bulb fitments thought they were H4??

rang fiat and they said the same thing, you sure matt cause mines a 2006, they said fiat changed the fitment for some versions.

the headlights in the GP are H4 type bulbs. Some sites dont have the GP listed so will give the bulb type for the Mk2/Mk2b Puntos which are h7 (Mk2b is anyway)

the H4-3 Kit Matt is reffering to is the HID kit which has the High/Low beam function on it. You can get an H4 HID Kit but you will only have your dipped beam and wont be able to use the High beam function. My mate has an H4 kit and he wishes he went for the H4-3 Kit.

the link to the H4-3 Kit earlier in the thread would be the best one to go for.

The police fined me for mine :( realy nice coppers to be honest, but they said the law is the law, and the local enforcmentsaid they'd pull me over because there was traffic cops in the area, and would give me 3 points as well as he fine if they caught me, so they just gave me the fine and sent me on my way.

Mine was just a 6000k kit, nothing too blue, lights tilted right down on the lowest level. so Be warned :(

But, it did take over 4 months for any policeman to bat an eye lid at them.
