I'm A New Fiat Owner And I Need Some Advice!!
Hi

I've just purchased a brand new Grande Punto GP and i love it except after driving it quite a bit around town today i have noticed one little 'quirk' and wondered if anyone else has experienced.

When im indicating to go right at a roundabout the right-indicator stays on until i straighten up the wheel when i would expect the indicator to switch off - except it doesn't the left indicator then comes on automatically for 3 or 4 flashes, by which time im usually 40 or 50 yds away from the roundabout. That doesn't bother me so much as i know it's probably good-practice to signal left when peeling off a roundabout. What does bug me is that the same thing happens when im signaling to turn right at a junction and then as ive turned right and straightend up again the left indicator STILL comes on, again for 3 or 4 flashes before switching itself off automatically.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just a standard feature of the car that i'll have to get used to or is there a way i can switch it off? I had a look thru the manual and nothing was mentioned. Any help you have for me, who has only owned his Grande Punto for a little over 24 hours would be great appreciated.

Thanx
Tim.

i'm sure that is a feature of series 2 punto's with lane change indicators, try braking hard aswell ,to see if your hazards flash!

I have a series 2 (09) Grande Punto and mine does exactly the same thing, ive just ignored it, not really a big issue.

Thanks Everyone

Some useful advice there. I'll ring the garage where i bought in the week and see what they say. It sounds like it could just be a small software issue
