My T-jet is still under warranty, but I received a very good offer for a remap. I wouldn't want to lose my warranty and so I'm wondering if it's possible for a Fiat garage to detect that my car was re-mapped. (any other way than driving it)??

If they send the ECU off to Fiat they can. And if you are that bothered about warrenty then dont do it.
they can if they want to even with out sending it away, they can also tell if it has had a remap an then its been took off
Does it log the number of times it was flashed like some ECUs?
some thing like that i belive

Surely they would have to prove that a FIAT garage did not just do something as part of a standard service? Do they have the ability to see whether the map is a standard one, a modified one, or just that it has been mapped? I know that Vauxhall did it a couple of times on my Astra.
