Nah no remap, other then sportlines it's machanicaly standard!

Not a good idea. This will only put more strain on the bolts. Some modification on the bar is needed.

I think I will take the rear bar off untill someone finds a cure! Would I be ok leaving the front one on?

I've took the rear, shorter bar off and it still knocks! Is it the longer, front bar that is causing the problem?

I'm gonna put the back one on the weekend and swap the front one with the original agen!

yes mate only the longer bar on mine rattles as it touches the bottom of the gearbox on full throttle

i borrowed a machanics ramp to take mine off the weekend, he recons its the stabaliser thats catching on the front brace!

looks too far away from the gear link!

Had mine fitted yesterday and no noises! and that was after a vigerous test drive!

Makes a noticeable difference and I am impressed.

I wonder if the age of the car makes a difference (ie slight technical differences) - mine is an 06 plate 21,000 miles?

No idea, mines an 08 reg. Seems to be a bit hit and miss. Noticed in the wet a few nights ago when you get wheel spin it knocks at the same time, sounds terrible

well mines at 56 plate, and forge tested the braces on my car as a test car and i've had no problems.

Mines 57 plate and I get it real bad!

Can I ask a n00b style question? I understand how and why it stiffens the chassis, but what if any effect would it have on tyre life and wear?

would have thought it would have no negative effect on life or wear. yeah if theres no solution to the banging/rattling there comin off for sale lol

Is there anyone with a multijet WITH the problem thats local to Gloucester so we can get one in to have a look. We've had three here in the shop and none rattled so we're at a bit of a loss. We pride ourselves on product quality so want to get this fixed, but each car we try is fine.

Seems really random! Hope you can get something sorted because the turn in did feel a lot better, pity about the rattling

Ive just fitted a set of these to my 06 plate M-Jet and all is fine, had a bit of spin in 3rd and no knocks, seems to have got rid of a bit of understeer and has sharpened up the turn in, thats on a quick blast round several local greasy roundabouts, will give it a more thorough test later on

Old thread i know, but i wanted to ask.I just ordered forge braces for my mjet and i was wondering. Do they make a difference only on quick driving conditions or also when just rolling?Cheers!

Mine only knocked when I give it some revs, just over 2500revs then stopped around 3200! Probably thru peak tourque! I'm gonna sell mine soon if no one comes up with a solution!

I meant if you use braces and everything works ok with no problems, do they make a difference when just driving normally or only when you are "racing"?hope your problem will sort out soon!
