Insurance companies see us coming dont they when we want to modify our cars, or even when we dont. Ive had my gp from new for 3 years and the first year was £185 fully comp which i thought was great, the next year was £195 and this years was £222. I know it goes up a bit each year but i dont see why, as im getting older, my no claims are being earned even tho i have the maximum, my cars not changed and neither has my circumstances. Anyway i used a comparison site last month as my insurance was due so went with the cheapest one, i rung them this morning to see what the difference would be if i added white stripes and sprayed my alloys white but they came back and said they wouldnt do that, but i cud cancel my policy at a £35 charge and be charged for time on cover which isnt even a month yet and i wud only get back £126 from £222!!! Then they could start a new policy up with the mods and it would be £411!!!! I cant believe it, and they said that if i cancelled my policy after 8 months id get nothing back!! how can this be right?! I wish i never paid in full now. So now i either have to wait a year and dont re-new with them, or loose out on nearly £100 for cancelling and then have to pay £411 for a new policy with them so in fact they will have had £500 off me! Where do you guys go for insurance as im older than some of you and youve all got loads of mods. I havent tried any new companies yet with the mods as i really dont wanna loose out on £96 in not even a month, stupid insurer's :bang: But i really wanted to start on my car, its not fair!
