Just fitted the Forge subframe braces this morning and ...Hell what a difference! I was very sceptical if these would make any real difference but the car now seems more planted and precise if you get my meaning.
Money well spent and thanks to Peter at Forge for all his help.(y)

Out of warranty from tommorow so on my list too.

A> Forge Tuning (See their thread)
B> 40ish
C> if you or someone can get far enough under the car
D> Erm, probably have to declare similiar to a strut brace?

Do we know for deffo that these are not catching gear linkages still? I believe that happened to one person before Forge tested them on an MJET.

If there are any steam cleaning/car washing places near home try asking to use thier ramp as the braces are easily fitted and bung them a fiver for the use of the ramp ! 15 minutes tops. It worked for me !

There is a good fitting guide on Forge. 16 mm & 17mm sockets & ratchet,17 mm open ended spanner (ring wont fit ),philips screwdriver and
The braces fitted my 09 t-jet with no fouling issues whatsoever.
They cost me £63 but that was with £15 postage to N Ireland.

Don't know about telling your insurance company as there is already one brace on the car and all you are doing is replacing it and adding another.

These are on my list too. They work out at £53 from forgemotorsport.co.uk if you quote 'fiat fourm 10% discount' when you buy though they come in at about £49.

i have so far got these ready to go on.
1. Alfa Mito Turbo
2. Forge Adjustable Actuator
3. Abarth Springs
4. Forge Braces (ordering this weekend)

Then i will need a
GSR Induction Kit
Red Dot Remap
Forge Intercooler
G-Tech Exhaust

and the beast will be complete :)

tbh, im just going to make my own seeing as how its just two metal bars. to be quite honest i think forge is laughing at you charging that much for something you can probably pick up at B&Q.

Maybe you are right and good luck to you if you are able to do this ,ie have the time and facilities.

If Forge hadn't made and marketed these it certainly wouldnt have occurred to me to make subframe braces.
Still I'm very happy with the end result so Forge can laugh all they like !:):)

Yes someone could do it by himself just had to measure the distance, select the appropriate material etc, but the price Forge offers these is decent so no big deal. If they sold it for a 100 quid that would be a joke.
