I've got a sticking top mount on my front right suspension unit and need to buy a new top mount. Does anyone know a parts place which i could buy one from even if it may not be a stock fiat part (custom suspension units will have them too) Fiat want 260 quid when its actually a quick and simple thing to replace. Being a student i dont have that kind of money!

any help would be great.

p.s no smart arses telling me what it might otherwise be, i know what the problem is and just need the part.

Cheers

Sounds like someone is taking the pi**........Is that figure of £260 a quote from a dealer to supply and fit both mounts?.....it sounds like it is. I recently had both mine replaced at an independant for about £130 all in...and they used the genuine Fiat parts. I dont have access to the receipt and the cost breakdown right now but the figure of about £16 per mount to me seems to ring a bell.......hardly megga-bucks.

I have got some pics of the failed ones, I will post them later when I get home.

correct Sledge, but alot of Fiat dealerships charge round £95 +vat, £112 odd?

Shame mine didnt quote that figure T......if they had instead of £220 and a 5 day wait they would have got the job (y)

sledge did you manage to find the price you paid for you top mount? i'm wondering if its cheaper than the link that was posted...

replying to the student comments, i got the car as a driving test pass present due to me passing without any lessons, as well as for my 17th birthday. however starting uni this September will push the budget to the limit however the car is definitely not being sold!
