Hi,the left hand side center front air vent fins do not move left to right. Looks like some plastic has come off that connects the fins together. At the moment they are all loose. Can i take this one out to fix the problem, if so how.

With a hammer.

I also have this problem but thought it was just a one off on my car so never said anything. Various friends have looked at it but not been able to fix it, they also suggested taking a hammer to it lol.

Did yo manage to remove the airvent? I have the same issue i managed to push down the sliding mechanism out of place with an air freshener.

radio -> radio cage -> screw holding vent/switch bank -> remove

refit in reverse

Hi There are 4 screw when i remove the radio and the radio cage which screws do i need to remove? Also then i could remove the left air vent? Becuase the only thing thats fault is the left air vent the opening/closing mechanism disassembled and i can't manage to fix it i need to remove it.

the 4 on metal cage (2 side & 2 at top), the vent assembly comes out complete.
