(y) Gold is good!

Tyres look like standard 205 45 17's so should have 2.2 bar (i think) in on the front for a 1.9 MJet (2.0 bar rear just for completeness)

Gold is the best colour I've seen so far IMHO, think I need another coat to get the smoothness but didnt have time before dark.

215/45/17. 2.2 is bar approx 31PSI isnt it?

Doesn't usually look that bad but my car park is a slight incline and the wheels are turned slightly to the right.

You need 215/40 to keep the rolling radius the same.

Damn you Matt.... :p
As Matt says, 45% of a 215 tyre width (versus 45% of a 205) will affect speedo readings... might play silly bug*ers with ABS too possibly? Not sure on the latter but worth a discusiion.

Its not by much to be fair, when your speedo reads 30 you will be doing 30.4Mph, at an indicated 60Mph your actual speed will be 61Mph, may be an issue in a Zero tolerance Police region.

I keep saying it but no one will listen.

*Deep Breath, Touches Wood* They've been on a year now and no issues at all!.

But 215/40/17 is further away at -1.95% with 215/45/17 at 1.46% difference, also a wanted to keep the sidewall height as near or higher to lessen the crashy ride round here.

Speedo reads +1.5 km/h different I believe from the tools I used online to check, your figures look spot on there ffoxy.

I know its better to under-read, but speedos mainly under-read anyway so the bigger tyre just brings the accuracy up.

You'll be OK as long as you remember when a Police car is following you late at night ;) Note to yourself... "do an indicated 2Mph under the indicated limit..." any slower and they'll pull you on suss, any faster and they'll pull you for speeding in a Zero tolerance zone.
