Styling Caliper colour suggestions!

I bought the orange paint to do mine ages ago. Never got round to it though. Lol my car is never standing for 24 hours to leave it to dry!!

Hammerite is a high temp paint!?

painted loads of calipers with hammerite! never burns off. calipers them salves only really get warm. Ive had the discs on my car blue after coming of a track and the paint is still good as new a year later!

high temp paint is (imho) designed for items that are heated directly.... such as manifolds or "maybe" brake drums.

Leyland gloss paint- Crimson Red- bought at a discount shop locally, looks the dogs, costs next to fek all!, balls to all the High Temperature paint etc, its people just being a bit precious:p

halfords sell high temp orange paint, as well as flourescent colours,

the kits are only a tin of paint with a can of brake cleaner to use first.

and normal paint wont last a week on hot calipers

Ive literally finished painting my calipers tonight! I did them with my uncle who works for international paint (They make Hammerite)

We used Japlac instead becuase hammerite is...crap. Your calipers will look dull after a few months. The only benefit is that it drys soft so wont chip as much as Japlac, also you dont need to prime it.

Japlac on the other hand is much better! It doesnt look hammered, like hammerite, if done well it has a really smooth finish and stays shiny for longer. It also takes a primer coat which adds to the overall finish and durability! The only problem is that it drys hard meaning it will chip more easily, but if you dont mind doing a touch up coat maybe once a year then use Japlac! Buy it from Focus or somewhere.

Also take someone elses advice earlier, dont use kits from halfords!
