i could do with a roof box for camping and fishing trips, but im obvious;y going to need roof bars, which i don mind getting, but i dont really want the leave them on all the time or do damage tsaking them off/outting them back on!

does anyone have roof bars?

do i need to fix the brackets pernemently?

cheers,
nick

your best removing them after your trip or dirt gets under them and marks your paint

i have the Thule rig and it costs abotu £130 all in

no brackets to mount or anything but i do get a bit of wind noise

no drilling cutting or milling required back one fits above rear window there is a ^ hidden among the black dots that surround the back window (that one goes there and clamps into the window gap)

the front locates where the holes are in the front upper door shut and clamps in place

totally tool less to set up and fit can fit them in less than five mins (just needs a bit of walking round the car giveing each knob individual turns so they nip down square (the front is a pig to seat if you dont)

hi, ive just bought a set of roof bars for my gps and i got the thule set off fiat for £99.56, they have the fittings for the 5dr and 3dr realy easy to fit and remove and as far as i can see no damage to my car. Lewis

the bars them selves wont do any damage all nice soft rubber BUT the dirt and crap from road spray gets between the rubber foot and the cars paint and the slight movement from body flex and the bars lead to marring of the paint if left on over long periods
