(T) Fuel Filler Cap

strange problem, only started doing this past few times iv filled up my punto

so i top the car up with some petrol go to lock my fuel filler cap, let it click a couple of times turn the key to the lock position, and take my key out and.... it falls straight out, it wont push in any further etc...

anyone else had this problem?!!?

you have to make sure the lugs on teh cap goes into the cut outs in the filler neck then turn till it clicks

Just to bring this back up.
I had the exact same problem yesterday when I'd finished filling up the GP. Sometimes it seems to lock first time but yesterday I was there for ages trying to get the damn thing to lock. Put it in with the lugs matching the cut outs, turned about 1/4 till it clicked and turned the key but it still fell out. No idea what I did differently the time it stayed in...

I'm always having the same trouble, sometimes it locks straight away, sometimes I have to piss about. Seems like a "not very good design" to me.

I use to have this... but then I smashed the car up. And the new car doesn't do this.

Although I always found, making sure it clicks worked.

I wouldn't reccomend it, it's not good for your back..
