At the min I have a 1.2gp 8v but I am considering upgrading to the 1.4 t-jet?! I was wondering if anyone could leave me there personal review on the car if they own one!? And also is the t-jet a turbo? Thanks very much in advance!!

Thank you I was wondering if it was or not as not alot of places say or not and I know it's a big step up but need somthing that will cope with miles abit more due to have to travel to work every so often to Scotland and also planning a road trip though europe next year! Glad it's a turbo tbh due to the tuning side of things!! =P

Dont jump me TJetters but....

The OP is a high miles driver, MJet may be better for him for economy.

Now I know he didnt ask.....but 50+ Mpg on the Motorway has simply GOT to appeal :p

If he wants more than 250miles to a tank then he should buy an alternative engine.

WTF sticks in your throat dont it Matt... try saying it fast... Dieeeeeesel simplez :p

Haha was looking at the 1.9dirrrty lol but knowing me ad do somthing silly and put 99octane init lol thanks very much for all your help! Going to test drive one tnite! =P can't wait now

It drinks, lots. And for any decent tuning you need to upgrade the turbo on it.

This is incorrect. My T-Jet is superb on fuel compared to to what i was driving before.

Lowest ive ever managed to get (booting it ALL the time - nice stretch of 30 miles of b/a roads to and from work) i managed to get 320 miles from a tank of normal unleaded.

Using Vpower, i manage to get 420 - 470 miles out of a tank. - driving normally, not like a granny :p

Standard T-Jet. 3 Months odd old.

Yes, its turbo'd, i prefered it to the M-Jet (i just personally prefer to rev a car, tbh, i find the limiter at 6,500 a little rubbish, but hey ho).

Build quaility seems ok, a few little niggles ive got to have sorted / had sorted.

Seat was clicking when anyone sat on it - sorted, something to do with the cushion.
Fog lights steaming up - booked in for replacements.
Breaks are squeeling there tits off after 5,000 miles. - booked in to be looked at.
Blue&me mic is low - booked in for replacement.
Rattle coming from the back - booked in to be looked at.

Hope this helps!!

Gotta be bullsh*t that averaging near enough 50mpg with 470miles to a tank.

errrrrrm, nope...... and i can drive perfectly fine thank you very much!... Clearly its you who needs the help, stop braking so much? dont need to accelerate as much then :p

My Ibiza 1.8 20V T mapped to the hilt, with many, many mods managed more than 240 miles per tank...... that was on full chat most the time!

Dont see how you are getting 50mpg tbh as that is what 400ish miles to a tank works out at. Way above Fiats official Figures. Ibiza is irrelivant because the tank size is most likely gonna be different.

I can average 37-43 Mpg (37 when i use it "properly" 43 when i aim for 400+ miles to a tank) As i like experiments i am gonna drive like a granny for the next tank (just filled up this morning 41 litres of 99Ron Tesco's) and will post back how far i can get! Who wants to have a guess at what i can get?

i reckon i'll do 395 miles (470 is impossible i think)
