Please can anyone tell me if they have experienced difficulty in selecting reverse in 6 speed box on a multijet 1.9 also 1st to 2nd sometimes a bit notchy ,car as only done 12k this is my first grande having had two petrol active sports before,great car otherwise tho great performance and economy and well spec'd motors

try selecting 1st gear before selecting reverse.

Cheers will try that goin in main dealer wed to av new blue n me unit might ask them check linkages whilst there

No problems here, but when i first got the car i thought the box was a bit dodgy but it was just a case of getting used to it.

no problems gettin reverse at all, 1st to 2nd is very notchy at best and sometimes grinds :S

Yeah 1st/2nd are notchy on mine you get used to it. Think it's normal from the sounds of it, never found it a problem.

Though like the guys have said in my old car it use to grind when I selected reverse, selecting 1st before hand sorted this out

thanks for that i'll start clocking up some miles ,soon get used to it seems a few have experienced similar

mine was a bit stiff after the box was put in but is fine now

The change from 1st to 2nd is a bit notchy and obstructive on my GP - from what I can make out it is the way they are.

Same here, tends to grind when I get a hurry on!
