General Dash Vent Trim (again)

I just removed mine. End clip of five has snapped. I have glued it back together with superglue and I'll leave it overnight to fully harden. Hope to fit it tomorrow. Image of broken clip after being glued back together.

Image of rear of full trim. The centre clip is pretty poor. My centre section of the trim has been slightly raised since I got the car.

Well at least it is only £15; Peugeot would want £70 for a part like that.

Mine has gone quite badly (2007 car) so i will have to do it. My plan is to buy a new one and glue it down on installation. That way the clips can hold it while the glue sets and I’ll never have to touch it again. I just need to think of the appropriate type of glue to use. I was thinking something flexible yet tough like purflex?

In the mean time, I have lowered my seat all the way down (which is how I like it anyway) and this minimises the amount of the sticky up trim I can see.

So how do you remove the trim? Mine pops up at the drivers side so I want to take it out and see if I can mod it in someway.

Any instructions for removal would be great (y)

do we need this bit of trim? Cant it just be removed and leave a space? Will it affect de-misting abilities if its just taken off? Just thinking if I dont need it whats the point of replacing it all the time. I have a wedge of foam stuck in mine. Stops it vibrating. Looks **** though.
