Ok now I will be a bit braver and up the anti further when would you say they were worn out properly when they are low or when they are grinding (Shamefully admitting this) in theory mine were worn at 36,000 when Fiat advised me during the service that the front pads and discs should be replaced still they were quiet and still pulling the car up with no fade (Yes I know they should have been changed) Work got on top etc so I carried on driving it maybe I should post a pic of the NS disc and how much metal has been grinded out (Really tho guys not proud to admit this or promote this kind of neglect for ones loved carraige of choice) Basically the car sound like a mobile welding shop at the moment when I drive it and hit the brakes. Shamefull I know.
The worst one I ever saw was a mate who asked me to do the barkes on his Combo van when he turned up there was no disc left on the near side wear he had driven it to death and was essentially using the caliper piston to brake on the disc shameful and dangerous that cost him a bit as the caliper wanted changing too!!!!!
Still if we are talking the lowest mileage compared to brake wear and tear I must have a chance no??
no sudden/heavy braking for first 1000 miles or so.
