This is the exact car I looked at with my parents today, and they were all for it because it is cheap, and not an old car...

Personally I like the car.. However, I have had friends tell me it is very slow, and that it doesnt look good.
I'm not bothered about their opinion on the looks because I like it.

My question is..
What do you guys think of this.. It is from a registered Fiat dealer, comes with a years warranty etc.

Also..
What could I do to the car to make it look better (for me) I was thinking, black rims + blacked out windows ?I don't want to do anything major, I.E Loweing etc.

And what can I do to make it faster? (if that is you think it is fairly slow)

Thanks
James

Don't pay more than 5k for it. Good as a first car, I had a 1.2 and drove it 50 miles a day for a year along motorway speed roads. The 1.2 isn't quick but its plenty powerful enough to keep you safe and the bonus being very cheap to insure.

If you want it to be faster then save up a bit more and get a 1.4 or diesel because quite frankly trying to get more speed out a 1.2 isn't worth the money (plus you would have to declare the mod to insurance).

Doesnt look good? Are your mates blind? lol 1.2 is slow yes but if you have just passed now is the time to learn so something relatively quick will just get you into situations you dont want to be in as a new driver.

You're mates are probably just jealous, plus if you lower it, black out the windows, and put 17's on it, it'll look a hell of a lot better.

Oh and that's a lot of mileage for the price they're asking. I'd offer £4500 and see what the dealer says :D

I payed £6,500 for mine, with 28,000 on the clock. I took out extra insurance and stuff just for peace of mind for the first year or two. What have you been quoted for insurance may i ask?

I don't know your circumstances, but keep your options open for as long as possible. Going to the main car dealer will be more expensive.

If you buy this car then remember this.......Don't come on here and ask how to make it faster as the answer will be to sell it and get a car with a bigger engine!;)

However, If you are not bothered about power and more about saving pennies on fuel economy then defo buy this car and you could easily mod the suspension so you can go around corners better, but haggle because it is quite expensive for what it is!(y)

On a side note, uncle arnie up here was selling a year old 1.2 active for 5600 so have a look at the active before making your choice!
