ive had my car remapped by reddot, 194.8 bhp on the rollers.

just looking into anything else i can do to get more out of it, so anyone with the 1.9 multijet:

has anyone bought and fitted a gsr induction kit?

has anyone fitted a decat?

Isn't 194.8bhp not enough for you then? well, just the normal stuffs, air filter (induction kit), sport exhaust, I will suggest sport cat rather than de-cat as sometime you will lose power if you de-cat a diesel. then a forge FMIC, if you get all of those done, your GP should close to 220bhp if not more!!!

Your presuming the turbo can put out any more power and you will need better clutch and box.

thanks for replys, when i went to red dot, augusto told me he had tuned a grande punto multijet to around 240-250bhp safely on a standard clutch and gearbox, but wasnt up for tellin me what was done to it.

so id like to think id be ok uprating air filter, and having a decat, to get 200bhp safely. just really interested to see if theres anyone on here who has had a decat or sports cat fitted or a gsr or equivalent induction system.

Ye a think that will be the one that blew up after a few K. This happened shortly after the gearbox started whining. Have fun

You cant decat the Mjet, it wont let you and i doubt it would give much benefit. You would be better getting a sports cat, or just a cat back exhaust.

How did you manage to get 194bhp with no other mods at the mo......

I did, bit of pipe. But yer, thats a pritty high readout from just a remap. Just try n take it easy

With forge fmic and gsr induction grande bolt is running 193hp, you wouldnt see any great gains. Though you would save the turbo from heat soak and get better performance out of it.

Didn't the gps remapped to 240/250 go bang there a thread with a picture of the bent valve.

You can get a hybird turbo, which gomes with a new manifold for couple grand? Is it worth it though?

The car wont do much more than 200 BHP theirs no point really without f**king everything up. ive done most mods plus a decat last week, just needs another map by reddot really but i dout it will go much over 200 bhp
if that. plus you soon would need a new turbo and uprated clutch.

If you want a bit more power save weight, lighter alloys take seats out wider tyres etc.

@BOLT are you still runing the gsr induction kit and if so how did you resolve the MAF sensor issuse?

You thinking of going to any events/meets this year as i wana hear it

i managed 194.8 from a standard 08 plate multijet, with 13k on clock, with just an uprated bmc panel filter. nothing else. i was really shocked when i gave me the print out. i think i will go with a decat. as mine doesnt have a DPF, then look at getting forge fmic to help the turbo

most likely will get shout down, but i run it without the maf sensor in and it runs fine. the maf sensor fried when it was in their, and when i put it back in the car gose into limp mode.

its very load everyone looks if i drop in at 2000 revs its like a dump valve, and it sucks in like a monster its weird, and when i turn the engine off its has a very nice turbo chatter sound :yum:. but it would annoy some drivers cause it sucks in like mad driving everywhere.

i think a FMIC is a must for turbo longivity from heat soak. Suppose it depends how long you depend on keeping the car and how you drive

I think the induction kit might be a bit to intrusive for me then still want to hear it though

Me too, all dependant on price though!

there about £320 with the 10% discount to FF members currently avaliable. Usual retail is £50..

Thats a good start a possibel 4 members? lets see what forge say?

OK so for the £320 what benefits/value would this have in real world driving?
