The SS has bigger turbo and it's Garrett not IHI.(so you have to change manifold,hoses etc.).

With remap you get around 195-210hp 290-300Nm.

lol, Garrett is a brand of turbocharger. They are the biggest manufacturer in the world, owned by a company called Honeywell (http://www.honeywell.com/sites/ts/tt/). The turbo in the EsseEsse will be worth around £800, you will have to ask at a local turbo dealer for a more specific price.....

Thats known as frame size. its a Garrett GT 1446. The T1 and T2 have been obsoleted for years btw.

I'm after a GT28RS for the Coupe. Superfast ballbareing spool and 320bhp+ FTW :slayer: . Love Garrett turbo's there the shizz and seem to be one of the best manufacturers.

Fiat seem to be using IHI turbo's on a lot of there modern engines. Usually have "FPT" branding on it too meaning Fiat Power Train.

The GT1446 which has the SS,is special model only for fiat.That's why it's not in garret's website and you won't find it for sale.

Only if an abarth dealer could sell you one,but it's a bit difficult as they are supplied with the kits.Price will be high ofcourse.

Maybe 1548 could probably do the job,which can be found easily and at a good price.

Garrett is not so much known because of the quality (diesel garrett turbos anyone?),but mainly because they have lower prices,so many tuners use them.

IHI have excellent build quality,but are very expensive and don't have a big variety like garrett.

what sort of price are you lookin at payin for the standard second hand abarth turbo, a few in classified for £300 on nearest offer, 1 lad asking £700 - £800 isn't that way over priced
