My problem started a few days ago. I seemed to be losing more and more power in the low revs. Now the car is almost undriveable. There is no power when i put my foot down in any gear intill the revs reach 3000rpm.
I can hear the turbo spool up at about 1900revs but there is no boost?

Not familiar with the 1.3 but it sounds like the sort of thing that's linked to EGR valve problems with the 1.9. Might want to try searching that on these forums for solutions.

I spent most the morning reading the threads on the EGR valve and yes agree it could be the fault. I just wanted some more input in case i was reaching the wrong conclusion?

Does anyone else have any sugestions?

Might be a long shot, but if the EGR valve is ok, I would check the AFM(Air Flow Meter) too. My gut feeling though is that your EGR valve is on its last leg, I had similar issues with my 1.9MJET GPS and once the valve was replaced, the car went back to normal.

Thanks. I will be having the EGR valve replaced as soon as the garage can get hold of one for me. will look into the AFM if the problem remains. Oh i feel so lost without my car. Its just to undriveable around town. Already had to many brown trouser moments! Fingers crossed it is the EGR valve cos i want my baby back on the road

Is it a 75 or 90 hp version ?
The 90hp version has a variable turbo I believe, which can stick.
