Hi all

This is my first manual car for a while, but I'm sure that there is something wrong with the gearbox and I have been telling the dealer for the last few months but they disagree. Its in at the dealer on Monday with a list of stuff that has gone wrong.

If in traffic and I dont have the hand brake on press the clutch and engage 1st the car roll's forward slightly! I'm sure the car really should not be doing this.

Second thing is the resistance changing into second is much greater than any gear.

Third thing i noticed when you accelerate with a bit of speed from 1st to 2nd there is a huge thud. The clutch is fully depressed before I go into second, but only does it when you need to get away quickly such as motorway roundabouts etc.

Anyone else have any of thes issues?

sounds more like clutch issue than box?

Sounds like a clutch issue to me rather than gearbox...

seeing that your GP is less than a year old and provided you have not abused your clutch (well, judging from your profession you do not fit the profile of a boy-racer) I feel that it should be covered under warranty.
