Has anyone had a t-jet mapped yet and what was the results angel tuning have just been in touch and told me they can give me another 35/40bhp and take me up to 197lb ft of torque but cant seem to find a company in my area with a rr the only one that has one cant get it working they need a part so cannot back up figures has any1 delt with angel tuning?

Wow.... loads on this.... try a Search using remap, angel tuning as search keywords! (y)
 
Thanks FOXY will try that now :) and as for harris why do you think i ask in the first place obviously because i have never had to deal with the company so dont no much about them. However they did offer a 14 day money back guarantee so it would give me more than enough time to find out if the quoted figures was right before wasting my money completly.
 
It wouldnt prove anything. They wont guarantee anything. Only way you could prove it would be by going on a RR as standard, remapping it straight after then on the same rolling road again.
 
I know it doesnt seem like it Darren but Matt is trying to help you... in his own way. We know him on here, you will in time but start building bridges eh?

We all think our GPS's are heroes, and they are, to us... warm hatches yes... Hot hatches no... I think of mine as a bit of a sleeper (note... BIT) that I have fun with, but it aint no supercar even at 193 Bhp+ and 260+ ft lbs :eek:
 
Never said it was a super car to start with its mearly a few year toy until insurance go's down for me at which time i think a nissan GTR may be in line after feeling the pull on one of them..... and as for getting it remapped by angel i might just think twice after hearing what some of you have said and the fact that a few turbo's have blown or is this just the diesel that had turbo problems after mapping?

There was allegedly a bad batch of turbos, mine has been fine touch wood.
 
Im up in yorkshire and lets just forget our previous chat and move on with this.... if it isn't the turbo's that have gone in the petrol what is goin wrong after an angel remap and why? i cant seem to find much about t-jets in this area everything seems to be on the diesels :S do red dot travel? if not where are they
 
Angel dont have the best repuation. People still use them but they offer no RR to prove gains and most of the cars that have been rolling roaded after angel map have come out less than they were quoted figure wise. People have then gone on to get maps from other reputable companys and have commented how much better the car feels.

Red dot are in enfield in london. People have traveled down from northern scotland to get them to remap there cars though. Reason i wouldnt go to Angel is because the figures they quote are unachieveable off just a remap. Every Tjet that has been rolling roaded so far has come out at closer to 140bhp not the 120 as fiat say. The turbo is not capable of going past 150ish bhp with just a remap and no way can it put out 200lb ft of torque off just a map. Mine with a Remap and GSR induction kit made 152 and 183lb ft of torque. Clawliger made 160bhp and 200lb ft with remap, GSR and custom exhaust which is why i say angel are talking crap with their figures.
 
sounds fair enough have you ever tryed out your 0-60 time since having this work done also what sort of gains did you pick up on hitting around 120 as standard it pulls pretty well to 110-120 but dies out abit did you have the same problem after a map or was the pulling more constant?
 
As moderator I need to remain neutral and I must confess engine tuning is not of great interest to myself however if you read though the many (fecking loads) of tuning thredas throughout GP section you will not only learn alot but realise that certain tuning companies are not what they are cracked up to be.
 
If you want more power you are gonna need
1. Abarth Turbo
2. Forge FMIC
3. GSR Induction
4. Cat Back Exhaust
5. RedDot Remap
6. maybe a Forge adjustable actuator?

I reckon that will see you to 170+bhp/210lbft torque? (i think?)

Then you will need
Forge Underbody braces
Abarth Springs/Eibach springs/Weitec Coilovers
Uprated Brakes (not looked into these yet though)
 
i have got some forge underbody braces for mine ... but they dont fecking fit! Who wants to buy some? ;p
