OK guys, 50,000 miles on and all still fine, anyone replaced or had their cambelt replaced yet? As my car is re-mapped I want to make sure I get it done in a timely fashion and not wait to 70,000 miles. Car is almost 3 years old now and running sweet.

I did a Search, nothing found really except 90,000 miles and 5 years was mentioned... but Fiat dont have to worry about a cambelt snapping at that time / mileage do they now...

If you had yours done how much can I expect or is it the usual free for all? I know of a well reputed local cambelt specialist, as the MJet is a JTD derivitive should he find no problems doing this in a GPS or does limited / difficult access add a premium?

Cheers....

Wondering how many of the 11 viewers so far were expecting a story about my cambelt breaking or summat lol! ;)

£350ish i would of thought to get it done? Only car i have had done was a 1.2 8v punto and that was £250 inc a full service lol

Cheers Matt, 350squids sounds good to me, I'll go see the guy next week, I want the whole kit and caboodle done, belt, idler / tensioners, water pump and thermostat. Should be good to truck on to 100,000 miles after that lol!

its actually 90000 miles for cam belt replacement

(y) spotted that too but I want to be safe with my re-map. Changes the ballpark figures for cambelt replacement as well as servicing schedules..
